Eigentlich sollte Sebastian Vettel fürs Formel-1-Sonderheft von SPORT BILD den perfekten Ferrari aus mehreren (!) historisch wertvollen Formel-1-Autos bauen. Das Beispiel-Foto war schon fertig (siehe Aufmacherbild). Doch der Heppenheimer hatte seinen eigenen Kopf. Ihm gefiel das Frankenstein-Monster nicht. Stattdessen baute er einen Zwitter…
Dabei kam raus: Vettels liebster Formel-1-Ferrari gehörte Michael Schumacher!
Für seinen perfekten Ferrari wählte der Heppenheimer Schumachers Weltmeister-Ferrari von 2004 sowie Niki Laudas roten Renner von 1977.
„Michael Schumachers Ferrari von 2004 ist für mich der schönste Ferrari“, verrät der Vierfachweltmeister im Formel-1-Sonderheft von SPORT BILD. „Nicht nur, weil es der erfolgreichste Ferrari aller Zeiten ist. Für mich war es ein in seiner Gesamtheit einfach ein perfektes Formel-1-Auto.“
Über Laudas 312T2 sagt Vettel: „Bei Niki Laudas Ferrari von 1977 sticht der Flach-Zwölfzylinder hervor. Der Sound des Motors war einfach überragend, da hörte man die Power richtig. Überhaupt: Für mich ist ein Zwölfzylinder die Mutter aller Rennmotoren. Ich bin deshalb auch ein wenig neidisch auf Niki Lauda, der dieses Auto nicht nur fahren durfte, sondern auch noch die WM damit gewann.“

Actually Sebastian Vettel was supposed to build the perfect Ferrari out of several (!) historically valuable Formula 1 Ferraris for the Formula 1 special issue of SPORT BILD. The sample photo was ready (see lead picture). But the man from Heppenheim had his own head. He did not like the Frankenstein monster. Instead, he built a hybrid out of two cars …
Therefore he revealed: Vettel’s favorite Formula 1 Ferrari belonged to Michael Schumacher!
For his perfect Ferrari Vettel chose Schumacher’s World Champion car of 2004 and Niki Lauda’s red racer of the 1977.
„Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari 2004 is for me the most beautiful Ferrari,“ reveals the quadruple world champion in Formula 1 special issue of SPORT BILD. „Not only because it is the most successful Ferrari of all time. For me in its entirety it was simply a perfect Formula 1 car. “
About Laudas 312T2 Vettel says: „At Niki Lauda’s Ferrari 1977 the flat-twelve-cylinder-engine stands out. The sound of the engine was simply outstanding, you could even hear the power. In general: For me, a twelve-cylinder is the mother of all racing engines. That’s why I am also a bit envious of Niki Lauda, who could not only drive this car, but also win the World championship with it. “
