Ferrari wants to proof where it really stands in the next race at the 2019 Bahrain Grand Prix this coming weekend. The team believes they have found and corrected the mistakes from the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Even before the second race of the season Ferrari is already under pressure. After the disappointing start at the Melbourne Grand Prix (P4 and P5), the Scuderia must prove that the weak performance was just a one-time fluke.
Ferrari Error Analysis
According to information from ABMS and F1 Insider, Ferrari believes to have found the mistakes. Team Principal Mattia Binotto confirms: “In Australia, we could not show our true potential due to a variety of factors, and now we have to prove that we have understood and addressed our weaknesses.”
He promises: “In Bahrain, we expect a positive effect from the corrections we made.” However, the Italian also admits: “We also expect that our competition will be strong again. We can’t hardly wait to challenge them on the track in Bahrain.”
Of course, the Ferrari Boss refers to the SF90 that performed so well in Barcelona early this year. Formula 1 managing director Ross Brawn believes in his former Ferrari colleagues: “The pecking order is not fixed yet.” – “Binotto knows what to do, I am convinced of that.”
